start from dirt and make your way up

To start a career in journalism is like building a mall from nothing. You have to start from dirt and make your up. Deciding what to write about, or deciding how to start building. And just wondering on how your career is going to turn out, or how you’re building going to turn out. So what are you suppose to do? All you can do is keep doing what you are doing and just wait and see what happens. Is your mall going to be a great success? Or is it just going to be invisible? And no one will ever know its there.
